Our smartcard the travelcard is now over 10 years old and is considered old technology and sadly has become quite unreliable. For this reason, you are no longer able to apply for a travelcard. We would like customers to transfer over to our bus app.

Earlier this year we were able to introduce our travelpass products onto our app, which can now be scanned by Stagecoach buses too.

We will be switching off the ability to buy any new ticket products on the travelcard as of 3rd November 2024. Any preloaded tickets on your card will need to be used by 6th April 2025.

Most people have already converted to other ways to pay, but as a reminder, we have:
• tap on tap off
• contactless
• mobile app ticketing

Our app is one of the best way to buy tickets for regular travellers and it has many other great features, such as:
• Journey planning
• Tracking buses in live times
• Favouring your regular bus stops and journeys
